Excellent support for DIY fitting
I would like to thank you and Oliver for your guidance, advice and support which you provided to assist me with fitting my new kitchen. 
As a DIYer, whilst I was familiar with the generic flat-packed furniture from the big stores, I did need some "hand-holding" in order to do justice to the lovely quality kitchen which we loved so much from your shop. 
In particular, the dresser unit (which you helped to design), the built in appliances and oak worktops were all areas which I was not very familiar with and your practical advice and guidance was invaluable. Your responsiveness, attention to the details and patience with my queries were very much appreciated. 
We are delighted with the end result; a real quality kitchen, with a bespoke feel (particularly for the dresser), and which we are very proud of. I've taken plenty of photos, which I'll send you.

"Keith has completed two projects on our house as follows:
New kitchen. This involved some structural work (taking down a wall to expand into the dining room), the removal of all old fixtures and the complete fitting of a new kitchen, including lighting and flooring, and redecoration of the kitchen/dining room at the end.

New bedroom and bathroom. This involved structural work including taking down an existing bathroom wall, and putting up new walls and doorways to make the existing space into an enlarge bathroom and a new bedroom. A new four-piece bathroom was fitted, which included separate walk-in shower and bathtub, flooring and lighting. Four new doors were fitted, and new shelving units and wardrobe/topbox were included in the new bedroom/corridor. The whole area was re-decorated at the end of the project.

During both projects we were away on holiday (for some of the time) and Keith was left with a key to the house. He is completely reliable and trustworthy, and he and his team make every effort to minimise disruption and clean-up after the work. Keith was able to offer valuable and useful advice on both projects - using his experience to suggest what would work and what wouldn't. We would definitely use him again for further work on the house, and plan to do so next year. "Over some considerable time we had deferred taking the plunge of investing in a new kitchen. Having explored options and quotes from several companies in Sheffield we called in on Sharrow Vale Kitchens and Bedrooms in Sharrow Vale Road. After an initial chat with Keith Prescott (owner) we decided to go ahead and arranged for Keith to visit our house in order to develop a plan of action and costing/timescale. As well as the kitchen an adjacent utility room was also to be included. The work involved:

Total removal of tiles on all walls and re-plastering all walls and ceiling,

Replacement ceiling lighting and unit up-lighting together with electrical mains upgrade,

Installation of new kitchen appliances (these were all custom made),

Provision of new granite work surfaces,

Laying new wooden flooring and fitting new internal doors,

Complete re-decoration involving both rooms,

Provision of skips and disposal of all debris and unwanted units.

Keith undertook to co-ordinate all facets of the work involving his own team and other craftsmen. He provided a design/layout, cost breakdown and timeline for work completion. He provided technical and practical advice on the kitchen units and sourced them at basic cost. Co-ordination of all the work was a particular requirement for us, as was adherence to the quote and the duration of the work. We were given a clear indication of what would be payable and when it would be due. Some costs were payable direct to separate craftsmen (e.g. electrician, decorator) and this was made clear at the outset.

The work was completed over 2 and half weeks. Keith's team worked diligently with a view to a quality completion on time. Some structural problems were unearthed as the work progressed but these were solved thanks to Keith's technical knowledge and resourcefulness. There was a slight over-run due to these problems but we were prepared for this in order to achieve a quality outcome.

Based on our experiences we are able to recommend Sharrow Vale Kitchens and Bedrooms. In particular we were impressed by the project management value which Keith added. He has over 20 years experience in the trade and this is very evident. We found the cost to be competitive compared with other quotes received and are extremely pleased with the finished job and the manner in which it was achieved.
